Back to start of cruise

Today saw the usual pre-holiday activities, packing the bags, loading the car, last minute shopping, then the drive across from Tamworth to Nantwich. No pictures of these activities. Then finding the boat in the marina (there must be a competition to see where it can be hidden...). Shortly after me getting the Jane & Phil were due to arrive, and the process of sorting out the boat could start properly. I set up in the front cabin, leaving Jane & Phil the double bed in the back cabin (I don't think that worried them too much). Then we were off.

However due to having to visit Jane's mum who' not very well they were a bit later than expected, that said loading the boat was done quickly, and we were off the moorings quite rapidly.

I'd planned a short trip on the first day, cruising for a couple of hours then find a pub for a meal before reaching the locks at Bunbury. This actually worked - we found the "Davenport Arms", an old pub which has been done up, good food even if the decor is a bit like a wine bar

Overnight mooring spot, not a lot in sight, and not a lot to hear, barring the birds.
