What, or who is "Explorer"?
Explorer or more correctly Challenger Explorer is a shared ownership narrow boat, one of over thirty that Challenger Syndicateships have commissioned over the last few years. The principal behind shared ownership is that a group of people own the boat between them, unlike time share where the boat is owned by a company, and people share the boat between them for a given period. Its a subtle difference, but it works for me - I couldn't afford the cost of buying and maintaining a 62ft boat of the quality of Explorer, and have a personal aversion to time shares.Boat Details
This year's main cruise
This year(2007) I had a two week break in the summer. The first week was a general laze about, a short trip from Nantwich to Chester and back with friends Jane & Phil, followed by a few odd little local trips. The second week was a more serious affair. Roger and Judy, who I've known a good few years, and their friend, Ester, joined me and we set off on the Cheshire Ring.This log will be completed during the cruise, and uploaded as and when I get the chance, to keep time down the pictures will be of low quality, when I get home I my put higher resolution versions up...
