Meanwhile, for the uninitiated:
The Narnia chronicles were written as a set of children's books, but there is no upper age limit on enjoying the way C.S.Lewis spins this allegorical tale about these enchanted lands.  Some see parallels between Aslam - the Lion and Christ, I would not argue with that, knowing that the author himself professed a faith in Christ.
At one level they are pure escapism.  There is a land where even the arm off  lamp post will grow, where animals talk clearly in English.  In an age when all is complication, this is an arena where the mind can run free, we can all be children, marvelling at what this world has to offer.  There is at least one love story, battles too many to mention, murder conspiracy, and humour.  A wicked witch, a Lion that talks and flies, along with horses, and mice, and....
